Heavy fault · 5 points

Above what width must a vehicle carry marker lights in addition to its ordinary lights?

  1. 2.50 metres
  2. 2.55 metres
  3. 2.00 metres
  4. 3.00 metres

The answer

A — 2.50 metres

Why

Vehicles more than 2.50 metres wide must show marker lights in addition to the lights of art. 30.1 or 30.3, white to the front and red to the rear.

Why not

  • B 2.55 metres is the maximum width of a laden car or trailer, which is a different rule in a different article.
  • C The code sets no 2 metre lighting threshold.
  • D Three metres is the exceptional width allowed for certain bulk agricultural loads near the place of loading.
